About us

Company history

ZASCHE handling was founded in 1932 as a conveyor technology company and it settled in the Ries region in 1948. Right from the very beginning, ZASCHE was an engineering firm that dealt in conveyor technology.

As early as 1950, the company started specializing in steel superstructures, overhead traveling cranes, bridge cranes, and slewing cranes. From this point forward, ZASCHE devoted its resources to building a strong knowledge of column and ceiling manipulators, which it takes pride in today. In 1970, as demand increased, the management team decided that establishing an independent production facility would be a wise economic move, starting first with the production of steel superstructures and slewing cranes. As company growth persisted continuously and very dynamically in the following years, several spacious production halls were then built between 1980 and 1985, followed by a modern administration building in Gewerbestraße, Nördlingen.

A decisive moment in 1991 then set ZASCHE on a new path, and the new "Handling" division was established. This laid the foundations for the company’s success today. With this strategic step, the company strengthened its key position in the market, offering

comprehensive and individual handling solutions. Rapid business development followed in the next few years, which then quickly made ZASCHE one of the leading global suppliers for manual handling technology and manipulators.

With its sophisticated and complete family of solutions, ZASCHE handling has made significant contributions to the manufacturing world — in the areas of reducing physical strain, optimizing workplace design, and maintaining the health and safety of machine operators.

Today, ZASCHE handling is an established brand with more than 120 employees in a 7,000-sqm new production facility. The company develops, distributes, designs, and manufactures highly engineered manipulators for the manual handling of small loads for customers all over the world. As a systems supplier with a comprehensive product portfolio, ZASCHE handling is well-poised to serve customers from different industries with a wide variety of handling solutions — ranging from mechanical slings through to highly complex semi-automatic systems. Whatever the need, ZASCHE handling can address it with a tailor-made solution designed with an array of certified, reliable components.
